Who doesn’t know that watching television (an electrical device with a screen on which one can watch programmes with moving pictures and sounds) is the cheapest form of global entertainment? Probably everyone will agree that if you have a television set with a small amount of electricity consumed merely by a 100-watt bulb is the highest cost to enjoy thousands of television channels. Most probably as far as we know it is the cheapest source of enjoyment. It is said that 80 per cent people of the world watch television.
The rest twenty per cent are probably are naked poor and fortunate enough that they don’t have to watch the deliberate and intentional television programmes their governments and multinational corporates shape up their minds with. The leftists or the Islamists can easily recruit these groups for their revolutionary agenda. If 20 per cent of the 700 world population 120 crore people’s minds can be easily shaped in the forms and shapes the leftists or Islamists want to. They can easily mobilize opinion against the negative impacts of present world economic system or capitalism.
How many TV channels are in the world?
According to CIA fact-sheet and other available internet sources there are as many as 20000 television channels reaching out to more than 5 billion people worldwide. In Russia there were 7,306 channels in 1998, 3,240 channels in China of which 209 are operated by China Central Television, 31 are provincial TV stations, and nearly 3,000 are local city stations in 1997, 2,218 channels in the US in 2006, and in India there were 1,400 in 2009. It is very interesting to know that the Jews who control 80 per cent of the world media have only seven television channels in Israel since 2009 whereas there are 19 channels in Bangladesh. Most of these channels are financed by multinational and local corporates who rule the world by proxy and sometimes directly. To run such one TV channel you need as much as two crore taka in Bangladeshi currency. Most of them are pro-establishment entertainment channels, some of them are infotainment, some of them are operated to preach religion and a few of them are educational as well as anti-establishment. The prime target of the low-cost entertainment industry is to retain the capitalist systems through shaping up the minds of the peoples who won’t revolt against all sorts of injustices.
What is operation cost of a TV channel?
To run a television channel one needs a huge amount of money apart from the cost of setting up such a TV station or establishment cost. For one month you need around two crore taka in Bangladeshi currency for operation of a television channel. To run 20000 television channels the world needs Tk 40000 crore a month. So the giant companies of world have to provide the channels with this huge sum of money every month. So the companies have to mobilize this amount of money to buy and run the television channels either exploiting the poor farmers, cashing in on the absence of their platform or underpaying the television artists, journalists, camera crews and other staff. In other issue we will focus on print and online media financing because you may irked by so many data.
You know the corporate spend a million dollar to distribute $1000 under their corporate social responsibility. Poverty alleviation is a popular slogan often chorused by the governments of the world but they don’t speak out where are the dollar depots and where benefits of GDP growth going. If there was no television advertisements with this amount of money (Tk 40000 crore) 120 crore hungry people of the world could have been provided with Tk 333.33 each month. If we count Tk 100 crore establishment cost for each channel the world needed (100 multiplied by 20000) Tk 2000000, 00000000 (Tk 20 trillion), equaling more than the budgets of 10 Bangladesh. If this amount distributed further among the poor people we are sure no body starve further in the world today.
Is poor people’s TV possible?
There are few channels which are funded by common people. Because commoners are poor, mostly farmers and labourers whose produces need no advertisements, no promotion, no brand manager or salesman. They produce crops upon their whims with no statistics and guidance available at hands, particularly in Bangladesh. They are either cheated for producing staple food and for cropping oil seed or forced to sell them at a through away price. The worldwide peasants who don’t have any firm producing industrial products except some pieces of cropland to produce staple food for the humanity have nothing to do with the television channels. They have no idea to spread among the humanity with an intention to exploit them or to milk money from the pockets whom are not farmers. Whereas they supply the world with food grain and it is the sector which employs majority of the workforce, creating crores of jobs.
The poor people of the world need no media as they hardly get slim chances to exploit others. They don’t have to go on plundering the resources across the world to fund the international communities like UN and others, events FIFA World Cup and others and the puppet governments across the planet. Most of them don’t have the working capital to produce crop and store them for sale let alone black money to put in fixed deposit in Swiss banks.
If people were not plundered there wouldn’t have the necessity of so many print and electronic media. The more the plunderers, the more the press because the looters need to retain their plundering regime. They need legal protection for all of their illegal activities like overpricing of their products, underpaying their staff, depriving the workers of their legal benefits and parks mandated by International Labour Organisation. Or to shield their interests from attacks of competitive media houses whereas a media house shouldn’t have been a foe to other media houses. They corrupt the journalism— a great profession— without which the world can’t wallow the wicked corporates.
As a journalist I am not against media rather deadly against media gagging. I want media to flourish on truth and neutrality at the hands of journalists who will write and express without fear, pointing finger at the faults, follies and foibles of the world management. Don’t take otherwise. I believe in press freedom but I think local looters, multinational corporates and their local agents and black money holders shouldn’t have right to own and regulate media houses as a guard or shield.
As the poor people aren’t organized and don’t afford to run a television so the business is run by those who control most of the businesses of the world. And it is the Jewish or at least Zionist Christian or Zionist Hindu or Zionist Muslim. The largest media conglomerate today is Walt Disney Company, whose chairman and CEO (1984 to September 2005), Michael Eisner, is a Jew. The Disney Empire, headed by a man described by one media analyst as a “control freak”, includes several television production companies (Walt Disney Television, Touchstone Television, Buena Vista Television), its own cable network with 14 million subscribers, and two video production companies. As for feature films, the Walt Disney Picture Group, headed by Joe Roth (also a Jew), includes Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, and Caravan Pictures. Disney also owns Miramax Films, run by the Weinstein brothers. When the Disney Company was run by the Gentile Disney family prior to its takeover by Eisner in 1984, it epitomized wholesome, family entertainment. While it still holds the rights to Snow White, under Eisner, the company has expanded into the production of graphic sex and violence. In addition, it has 225 affiliated stations in the United States and is part owner of several European TV companies. ABC’s cable subsidiary, ESPN, is headed by president and CEO Steven Bornstein, a Jew.
This corporation also has a controlling share of Lifetime Television and the Arts & Entertainment Network cable companies. ABC Radio Network owns eleven AM and ten FM stations, again in major cities such as New York, Washington, Los Angeles, and has over 3,400 affiliates. Although primarily a telecommunications company, Capital Cities/ABC earned over $1 billion in publishing in 1994.
The chairman of the board and CEO, Gerald Levin, is a Jew. Time Warner’s subsidiary HBO is the country’s largest pay-TV cable network. Warner Music is by far the world’s largest record company, with 50 labels, the biggest of which is Warner Brothers Records, headed by Danny Goldberg. Stuart Hersch is president of Warnervision, Warner Music’s video production unit. Goldberg and Hersch are Jews. Warner Music was an early promoter of “gangsta rap.” Through its involvement with Interscope Records, it helped popularize a genre whose graphic lyrics explicitly urge Blacks to commit acts of violence against Whites. In addition to cable and music, Time Warner is heavily involved in the production of feature films (Warner Brothers Studio) and publishing. Time Warner’s publishing division (editor-in-chief Norman Pearlstine, a Jew) is the largest magazine publisher in the country (Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune).
When Ted Turner, a Gentile, made a bid to buy CBS in 1985, there was panic in media boardrooms across the nation. Turner made a fortune in advertising and then had built a successful cable-TV news network, CNN. Although Turner employed a number of Jews in key executive positions in CNN and had never taken public positions contrary to Jewish interests, he is a man with a large ego and a strong personality and was regarded by Chairman William Paley (real name Palinsky, a Jew) and the other Jews at CBS as uncontrollable: a loose cannon who might at some time in the future turn against them. Furthermore, Jewish newsman Daniel Schorr, who had worked for Turner, publicly charged that his former boss held a personal dislike for Jews.
To block Turner’s bid, CBS executives invited billionaire Jewish theater, hotel, insurance, and cigarette magnate Laurence Tisch to launch a “friendly” takeover of the company, and from 1986 till 1995 Tisch was the chairman and CEO of CBS, removing any threat of non-Jewish influence there. Subsequent efforts by Turner to acquire a major network have been obstructed by Levin’s Time Warner, which owns nearly 20 percent of CBS stock and has veto power over major deals. Viacom, Inc, headed by Sumner Redstone (born Murray Rothstein), a Jew, is the third largest megamedia corporation in the country, with revenues of over $10 billion a year. Viacom, which produces and distributes TV programs for the three largest networks, owns 12 television stations and 12 radio stations. It produces feature films through Paramount Pictures, headed by Jewess Sherry Lansing. Its publishing division includes Prentice Hall, Simon & Schuster, and Pocket Books.
It distributes videos through over 4,000 Blockbuster stores. Viacom’s chief claim to fame, however, is as the world’s largest provider of cable programming, through its Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other networks. Since 1989, MTV and Nickelodeon have acquired larger and larger shares of the younger television audience. With the top three, and by far the largest, media companies in the hand of Jews, it is difficult to believe that such an overwhelming degree of control came about without a deliberate, concerted effort on their part. What about the other big media companies? Number four on the list is Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, which owns Fox Television and 20th Century Fox Films. Murdoch is a Gentile, but Peter Chermin, who heads Murdoch’s film studio and also oversees his TV production, is a Jew. Number five is the Japanese Sony Corporation, whose US subsidiary, Sony Corporation of America, is run by Michael Schulhof, a Jew. Alan Levine, another Jew, heads the Sony Pictures division. Most of the television and movie production companies that are not owned by the largest corporations are also controlled by Jews. For example, New World Entertainment, proclaimed by one media analyst as “the premiere independent TV program producer in the United States,” is owned by Ronald Perelman, a Jew. The best known of the smaller media companies, Dreamworks SKG, is a strictly kosher affair.
Muslim electronic media
While being trained by BBC in my New Age office in 2007 I asked the BBC trainer ‘Who finances the the broadcasting corporation?’ The trainer answered every British citizen pay for it. It is run by people so it is accountable to people who finance it. Not to any companies, or land grabber, or multinational corporates. It is accountable to the English nation who make donation for BBC. When the channel failed to maintain neutrality during Iraq or Afghan war it apologized to its viewers. Then a neutral channel was born to cover the news uncovered by BBC or others.
And the name of the channel is Al Jazeera. In early days in the mid and late 1990s, the channel took on taboo subjects and proudly challenged the status quo. This continued with Al Jazeera’s coverage of Afghanistan and the Iraq war, when mainstream western media were disowning their own proclaimed standards of objectivity and treating Iraqis like dispensable beings underserving of even a body count. The Al Jazeera was not involved in ‘embedded journalism’ a television channel of the minorities as the US authorities requested the Qatar government to shut down the channel and stop operating from its own land. On top of that for airing news of the atrocities inflicted on the Iraqis the US wanted to blow off the news channel with its war correspondent Rageh Omar — a real professional and responsible journalist. The channel revolted against pro-American ‘embedded journalism’— news based on US soldiers’ briefing in an army camp. It excellently covered the revolution in Egypt and Tunisia. It set news agenda for other positive channels. It was also awarded with the best television channel last year.
But with the days gone by as Ramzy Baroud writes in his column ‘Whatever Happened to Al Jazeera?’ in recent months, however, Al Jazeera has begun to change course. It has deviated from its journalistic responsibilities in Libya… The channel is trying to adhere to its own code of conduct” with due respect and address every issue or story with due attention to present a clear, factual and accurate picture” though not often succeeding. But success rate is much higher than its failure though it is not funded by common people of Qatar but the emir of the country and devoid of the pressure of the top 2000 multinational corporates who dominate thousands of channels giving commercial advertisements. Under US foreign policy pressure though it changed its initial stance on some terms. The channel replaced ‘occupation forces’ with ‘multinational forces’ in Iraq and other sort of changes in its news coverage.
With more than US $ 400 billion invested in TV productions and distribution alone, it is serious business laden with cut-throat competition, political manipulations and corporate interests. But Muslims hardly have any hold or influence on major media, especially TV. They instead, exhibit an apologetic attitude and an inferiority complex. Peace Television and Huda Televisions have teams of hard-working people from all over the world. These people have vast knowledge in different aspects of life and Islamic practice and perceptions. These channels play important roles of drawing them together under the light of the everlasting message of Islam that is pertinent for all eras and places until the end of time.
Peace TV is not just another Islamic TV channel. Nor will it promote any particular Islamic sect or dogma.
It provides its viewers with state-of-the-art TV programmes based on authentic teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith. They are backed by the best available media technology, creativity, research and operational management. They are respected by global media outlet presenting Islam and removing misconceptions about Islam. The broadcasters particularly Peace TV also promote inter-faith dialogues, common teachings of scriptures of major religions and world peace. It makes both Muslims and Non-Muslims realize the effectiveness of Islam in solving problems of humankind. Solutions, derived from their Creator – the All Aware.
It is really good to hear that Peace TV doesn’t entertain any advertisement. No multinational corporate can overtly or covertly dominate the programmes of Islamic Research Foundation or those programmes planned by Dr Zakir Naik. It is like BBC funded by people. Here in the case of Peace TV not only Indians but also people particularly the Muslims all over the world give Jakat to Peace TV and the television is doing well. The role model of Peace TV and BBC can be introduced all over the world to put an end to plundering regimes of the multinational conglomerates. People of the nations will directly pay to run their channels for democracy, transparency and accountability. Jewish domination of most of the television channels either directly or by proxy can only come to an end, also paving the way for collapsing the one of pillars of capitalism.
